In the permanent makeup industry, there are contraindications that make a person incompatible with the techniques used. In these cases, applying permanent makeup can carry potential risks for the client.
You are NOT a candidate and we will not be able to perform this procedure on you if you have any of the following contraindications:

Is pregnant and/or breastfeeding

Has transmittable blood diseases (ex: HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis, etc.)

Has had an organ transplant or pacemaker surgery

Has active skin cancer

Has hemophilia

Has glaucoma

Has eczema or psoriasis on or near the treated area

Has taken prescribed medication for severe acne, such as Accutane/Retin-A in the past 6 months
-
Is undergoing chemotherapy
-
Is on blood thinning medication
-
Has had Botox in the past month

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
Proper preparation for any permanent makeup appointment will help you achieve the best possible healed results, so be sure to plan accordingly.
PRE-CARE FOR EYEBROWS
-
​No use of Accutane or Retin-A at least 6 months prior to the appointment.
-
No Botox in the treatment area 4 weeks prior to the appointment.
-
No facials 1 week prior to the appointment.
-
No eyebrow waxing or tinting 1 week prior to the appointment.
-
No tanning and avoid excessive sun exposure 1 week prior to the appointment.
-
No fish oil and vitamin E supplements 1 week prior to the appointment.
-
No Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24 hours prior to the appointment.
-
No alcohol and coffee consumption 24 hours prior to the appointment.​

POST-CARE FOR EYEBROWS
​
-
Keep the treatment dry and clean. Minimum water contact for the first 7 days.
-
Use a gentle cleanser.
-
Avoid the gym, hot yoga, and any activities that will cause excessive sweating.
-
Refrain from touching your brows. Do not rub or scratch the area.
-
​Avoid picking and pulling the scabs during the healing process.
-
No makeup application on the treated area.
-
No tanning and avoid direct sunlight.
-
Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment twice a day starting the 3rd day. Use only a rice grain-sized amount to avoid oversaturating the brows. Continue this routine until the brows have fully scabbed and peeled.

PRE-CARE FOR LIPS
Clients who have experienced a cold sore around the mouth must take antiviral medication at least 3 days before and 3 - 4 days after the treatment. Lip blush can trigger cold sores in individuals who carry the virus. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in an outbreak, which could interfere with the healing process. Antiviral medication, such as Valtrex, ZOVIRAX, Acyclovir, or Docosanol, is available with a prescription from your family doctor. If you have a cold sore outbreak on your lips at the time of your appointment, the procedure may need to be rescheduled.

Gently exfoliate your lips 2 days prior, 2x/day (you can use a light sugar scrub)

No Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24 hours prior to the appointment.

No alcohol and coffee consumption 24 hours prior to the appointment.​

POST-CARE FOR LIPS

Apply aftercare ointment on lips several times a day.
-
Avoid the gym, hot yoga, and any activities that will cause excessive sweating.
-
Refrain from touching your lips. Do not rub or scratch the area.
-
​Avoid picking and pulling the scabs during the healing process.
-
No makeup application on the treated area.
-
No tanning and avoid direct sunlight.
-
No kissing for 1 week.
-
Avoid greasy and spicy food.
